The Ramky Group is developing India’s first pharma industrial estate called Jawaharlal Nehru Pharma city with investment of Rs.300 Cr. Developing infrastructure facilities like common effluent treatment plants and laying 100-km long gas pipelines for water supply and disposal of liquid waste generated by pharma units into the sea. Andhra Pradesh government has allotted 2,400 acre at the Parawada industrial area near Visakhapatnam to the group to develop the pharma city. Of this 600 acres is developed as SEZ while 1300 acre will be the non-SEZ area. About 50 other companies including foreign companies will set up unit here.
